The Story

Description

Stanadyne DB2 mechanical injection pump (DB2829-4779) for the 1990 GM 6.2L Detroit Diesel found in Chevrolet/GMC C/K trucks, G-series vans, and P30/P3500 chassis. Direct OE-spec replacement calibrated for the factory power level on these stock or lightly-modified rigs.

The DB2 is a rotary distributor pump originally calibrated by Stanadyne for the GM 6.2L Detroit Diesel platform — predecessor to the 6.5L Detroit and the Duramax. Each unit ships ready to bolt back on: fuel rates, advance, and shutoff are all set to OE spec. Uses factory hard lines, lift pump, and timing reference.

Features
  • Stanadyne DB2 Rotary Distributor Pump
  • Calibrated to OE Spec for 6.2L Detroit Diesel
  • Direct Bolt-On Replacement — Uses Factory Lines & Mounting
  • Mechanical Injection — No ECM or Electronics
  • For Stock-Power C/K Trucks, G-Series Vans, P-Series Chassis
  • Part Number: DB2829-4779
Notes
  • Drain and flush the tank, install fresh primary/secondary fuel filters before swap — old fuel and water will kill a fresh injection pump quickly.
  • For 1992-1993 turbocharged 6.5L Detroit applications, use the matching DB2831-4911 pump instead.
  • This is a repair and return item, you must send us your core to send to to Industrial Injection for rebuild.
